Summer time means gin time -it’s just so refreshing and it’s now time for Pretoria to taste, swirl and celebrate the most exciting, fastest growing spirit category in the world!

A dedicated Gin & Tonic festival featuring SA’s most exciting local gin distilleries and some well-known international counterparts will be gracing the Tshwane CBD early in November.

Hot on the heels of the thriving local craft beer industry, the makers of small batch, artisanal gin have followed suit, with what has now become a global spirit trend and a scene alongside bespoke culture and curated lifestyle.

This inaugural leg of the festival in will launch at 11am on the 5th of November at the trendy 012 Central Venue in Tshwane’s CBD, with proceedings finishing at 7pm.

The festival will showcase SA’s top craft distilleries and some well-known international counterparts, as well as some of the region’s top local music artists on a dedicated music and entertainment stage. Some of the country’s most exciting, and certainly spirited, gin producers, will be available to taste and talk about what makes their varietal so good.

The makers of locally crafted gins; BloedLemoen, Cruxland, Ginifer, Hope on Hopkins, Jenever Montane, Musgrave, Wilderer, and internationally revered brands like The Botanist, Sipsmith, Saffron and London No1 are some of the gin brands attendees can experience on the day. As a proudly South African event, we humbly support the remarkable local talent from the region and look forward to turning up for Tshwane!

Look forward to the sounds of Adelle, Will Rayz, The motherland and WE are Charlie on the main stage, with Jacaranda’s Cassy Clark keeping you informed and entertained as MC. Gin lovers can look forward to having their taste buds tantalised by artisanal food offerings that can be expertly paired with various G&T cocktails, as well as the opportunity to upskill from various expert ginsmiths and mixologists about what goes into making their particular G&T cocktail unique and learning more about their “Gin Story”.

Upon arrival, each customer will receive a Goodie Bag, including an informative and classy Gin Booklet, a branded Gin and Tonic Festival glass, as well as promotional material from the various exhibitors.
