Singer, songwriter Jay-Life, a 24-year-old artist who has the ability to capture an audience with his captivating lyrics and performances, has released his new single Hate It on the 4th of October 2020 on all leading music streaming sites.
This young artist merges elements of Pop and R&B to share the experience and emotion of being in love, then broken-up with for no reason and with no explanation.
Nestled in a world of heartache and pain, the feeling could only be expressed through music. The Lyrics take you on a familiar journey, experiencing the complexities of love and what it’s like to have your world rocked so suddenly when you thought that your relationship was completely fine.
Reflecting on his journey with Hate It Jay-Life says; “writing about love has always been a passion to me as I have experienced every facet of it. I always choose to speak from my heart as well as from experience and that relays the genuineness of my music.”
It’s not often that we admit “it kills me that you’re happy without me” but being in a relationship does not guarantee a happy ending. The lyrics paint a vivid image of being on the other side of love-hate.
“Love is the one emotion that drives everything in life and is the most recognized feeling in the world,” says Jay Life. Hate It exposes different emotions we might have about various situations and can be related to very easily.
