I have always been a fan of an Escape Room Game, and when I heard that the team from &SCENE were launching an online version in the time of COVID, I was of course eager to give it a whirl, and see how its stands up against the physical game.

&SCENE ESC Games is a brand new online escape room experience that merges all the fun and challenge of a physical escape room and reimagines it for a digital space with the best of immersive theatre.

The games are done totally online on their website and every month they will be adding another adults and kids game to their reportoire. I also loved that solving the crime is tricky (but not too much) and I get so involved that I was a bit sad when we got to the end.

The HollywoodLand Homocide game lasts about an hour, and followed a series of clues to find out who killed an up and coming young Hollywood Starlet (complete with ticking countdown clock for that extra suspense feel) and a telephone that rings occasionally with a muffeled ransom threat to up the anti!

I had so much fun, and would highly recommend the ESC Games for anyone looking for something fun to do over the weekends, kiddies games are also available. Games are ideal for up to 9 players, and your players can be located anywhere in the world – plus, what better way to challenge your relatives to try and beat your score! (I made it with about 5 minutes to spare – sjoe!)
