Make your way to the Terra del Capo Antipasti Bar at Anthonij Rupert Estate, situated in the picturesque Franschhoek Wine Valley for the mini Winelands escape you have been craving.

From 1 September, visitors can once again enjoy bespoke wine tastings and freshly prepared Italian-inspired fare in this magnificent setting. Alfresco dining in the lush garden under the shade of old olive trees also is a must on beautiful days.

The seasonally inspired menu includes a variety of contemporary and traditional antipasti plates. With the Estate now producing its own award-winning olive oil, honey, Black Angus Beef and receiving Black Perigord Truffles from its Altima Estate, the menu is inspired, more than ever not only by local Winelands produce but also by these hyper-local gourmet ingredients.

With the Truffle harvest brought in successfully over the past few months, and further product development now complete, guests can expect to be delighted with Truffle inspired dishes, such as their homemade Truffle Tagliatelle dressed in aged Parmesan cream, over the coming months.

For a lighter meal, guests can opt for a platter of expertly sourced charcuterie and artisanal cheeses or one of the delightful vegetarian options such as the Sicilian Panelle with chargrilled zucchini and olives, or a zingy and delicious green bean and citrus salad served with aged balsamic vinegar.

With the upcoming festive season just around the corner, the shop will be fully stocked with unique gifts, custom-designed and created by local suppliers and artisans, as well as a range of imported quality Italian must-haves.

The Terra del Capo Tasting Room and Antipasti Bar are open from Tuesday to Sunday (10 am to 4:30 pm) and visits to the estate and its facilities are by appointment only. Safety protocols are adhered to at all times to ensure a safe and memorable experience.
