The lockdown has made our finances really tight. So naturally our car had to start giving problems. We had to jump start three times last month and finally got a second-hand battery from a friend. But this one is also on the brink of death 🙁 A new battery would be huge saving grace for us. Save us, Heather! Save us!
Because I lost my job in March, I have absolutely no funds for basic necessities, I would absolutely love to win, it would mean so much to me, to know I ha e back up with this generous prize
My husband bought a second hand car last year. He uses the car for work & really depends on it, as he gets moved to different sites in different areas, which can sometimes be quite far.
I am unemployed for the past 2 years & stay home & take care of our 2 kids. Our car has been problematic from the beginning of this year. The car takes long to start, or sometimes it doesn’t start at all & my husband has to use public transport. Sometimes when my husband stops at a robot, the car switches off & then he has to get someone to help him kick start.
He did speak to a mechanic for advice & the mechanic said, it’s either the starter that needs to be changed or he needs to buy a new battery or it could be both. We don’t have money to repair the car.
During Lockdown my husband was at home for 5 months & received half his salary, which was really difficult for us to survive on with 2 kids. My husband was called back to work last week, but the company has explained to him, that they still can’t afford to pay everyone their full salary & are also looking at retrenching staff.
Winning this awesome prize from you Heather & Battery Centre will be a tremendous weight off our shoulders & will help with a huge part of our financial strain.
I recently was stranded with a dead battery in an unfamiliar place at night and it was a really big inconvenience and very dangerous. My battery gave me signs though as I noticed that my headlights seemed to be dim and weaker than usual but thought it was just worn out lights, and mind you dim headlights are a serious safety issue. I now know that my battery is worn out because I find that my car is only starting when I press my foot on the gas pedal, which also consumes more gas than usual. It’s actually compromising my safety and hurting me on the pocket, I urgently need to get a replacement battery before it’s too late. So if I win this voucher I can get myself a good quality Raylite battery from Battery Center because buying car batteries from just anyone can also be detrimental.
Congratulations Xolani, you are my lucky winner, I have sent you an email! HH
I am a self employed young woman and need my vehicle everyday to work and bring money . I often find myself helping people from my community for free for me to win this voucher would be amazing. Thank you
