This Fathers’ Day, 21st of June, spoil your Dad with a picnic that has been personally selected by Nick, a Father himself, for the whole family to enjoy where ever you may be…even if you are apart, spoil your Dad with this tasty spread.

With the COVID 19 pandemic play a huge part in our lives at the moment we all need something to look forward to, a treat at the end of the week.

With all the Lockdown regulations coming into play within the hospitality industry, seasoned restaurateur and consultant Dean Appleton saw a gap in the market for online, safely delivered picnics for the whole family.

“Having a Nick Pick (picnic) as I call it, either with my daughter or with friends is one of the best alternatives to a braai for a family in SA. Even though we are still not allowed to sit in a park, imagine having a spread delivered to your home, putting out your blanket in the safety of your garden and enjoying a relaxed lunch in the warmth of a winter’s day”

Using the 21st as a springboard to start the business Dean is expanding the menu’s to cater for all occasions and dietary requirements.
“Online delivery only seems to be the way forward for all within the industry worldwide and using a ghost/dark kitchen to produce the offering is gaining momentum everywhere. I am launching other concepts from the same production area, as time goes on, under the umbrella of A Moveable Feast.”

Using up and coming ordering platforms as well as trusted local courier services made sense to Appleton. “Partnering with platforms such as Mr Yum SA means all my requirements are taken care of personally and quickly…dealing with 1fetch as a courier means I have a professional contactless “waitron” to deliver the meals”
