Sunday 29th March will see Capetonians gather in the beautiful gardens of the Alphen Boutique Hotel in Constantia to enjoy a grand picnic, and all in aid of charity.

The Kove Collection, a portfolio of restaurants, bars and luxury hotels, of which the Alphen Hotel forms part, is hosting this event – called Kove Love – to benefit the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and the Peninsula School Feeding Association. These Cape-based non-profit organisations are doing phenomenal work in their respective fields, and all proceeds will be shared equally between the two.

The inaugural Kove Love is going large and will see picnicker’s enjoying live entertainment alongside their delectable basket of artisanal fare, as well as various tasting stations – including a premium selection of wines, gin, beer, cocktails and Champagne.

The event is entirely family-friendly with a special children’s menu available, as well as kids’ entertainment that will see the younger guests enjoying face painting, jumping castles and more.

Price: R800 for a picnic basket for two adults to share. Special children’s menu available priced at R135 per child (10 years and younger). Add-on items will also be available to further glam up your picnic day. Wine, craft beer, Champagne and spirits tasting vouchers will be available from R150. All proceeds go to the two nominated charities.
