This festive season, Sun City offers its guests the chance to relax, unwind and celebrate the festive season in momentous style. From beautiful bright lights on a towering Christmas tree and Carols by Candlelight to sumptuous banquets and, of course, the biggest party of the year as the resort celebrates 40 years of great entertainment, these holidays are jam-packed with memorable moments.

The resort’s Festive Season Programme kicks off officially on 6 December 2019 with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 19h00 outside the Welcome Centre and is free for all guests to attend.

Sun City’s 40th birthday celebrations reach a crescendo with The Big 40 Birthday Party on 7 December 2019, exactly the day since the resort’s doors were opened to the public. This highly anticipated event brings an exciting line-up of local artists performing at a ticketed concert at Valley of Waves as well as an after-party at the Sun Arena. See the likes of Shekhinah, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels, Kurt Darren, Mi Casa and a special live production showcasing the resort’s history, culminating with a dazzling fireworks display. All accommodation packages for the weekend 6 to 8 December 2019 include two free tickets to the event and after-party, welcome drink and braai menu.

The entertainment and celebrations do not end here. The Sun Arena comes alive with The Big 40 After Party, featuring Somizi as the MC and Kwesta, Goodluck, Sho Madjozi, AKA, Prince Kaybee, DJ Christos,Vinny da Vinci and DJ Tira. The merriment continues in December with a spirited Carols by Candlelight evening at the Sun Arena on 24 December 2019 from 20h00 to 22h00 with free entry. Whilst enjoying the Christmas festivities, nothing beats a good meal on Christmas Day, and this is exactly what Sun City has on offer. Enjoy a mouthwatering buffet prepared by the professional, experienced chefs at the Warriors Hall, Sun City Convention Centre from12h00 to 15h30. For the little ones, Kamp Kwena offers a Festive Season Programme from 7 December 2019 to 12 January 2020. There are super activities for children aged 3 to 12 daily. Look forward to fun including marshmallow braais, bumper boats, treasure hunts and mini-discos, a kiddies Christmas party with snow on the Cabanas Lawns and pool deck activities.
