Big news all you Comic Con fans – Daniel Gillies, better known as, ‘Elijah’ has just been added to the list of international celebrity guests at this years show, taking place 21 – 24 September at Gallagher Convention Centre!

Daniel Gillies, the ‘gentleman-monster’ as he humorously refers to himself, is a Canadian-born New Zealand actor, best known for his role as Elijah Mikaelson on the hit TV series, The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off, The Originals.

He played Dr Joel Goran on the Canadian series, Saving Hope, a medical-themed show with a mystical, paranormal twist, and recently starred as Robert Durst in Lifetime’s, The Lost Wife of Robert Durst – as well as also playing Kristen Dunst’s love interest in Spider-Man 2. In 2006, Daniel had the lead in Sensation of Sight opposite David Strathairn.

Not only is this ‘gentleman-monster’ a prominent actor, but he’s been making waves as a director in the industry too; Daniel wrote, directed and produced Broken Kingdom as well as the documentary, Kingdom Come.
