One of Joburg’s fave casino’s and entertainment venues Gold Reef City has announced the relaunching of their super popular Jozi Urban Market after a long, cold winter. With 35 interesting stalls including gourmet coffee, craft beer and gin, fine wines, cocktails, exotic multicultural food, live music, local fashion and art, this urban attraction is most definitely the best hang out on the first Sunday of every month.
The Jozi Urban Market is situated on the fifth-floor covered carpark rooftop of Gold Reef Casino, which offers a spectacular view of Johannesburg.
The market runs from 10h00 to 15h00 giving you ample time to catch a meal, relax while sipping a craft gin or beer in the chill area, listen to soft live Jazz or have family fun in the free SEEFF Nerf Battle Zone. There is something for everyone, including car and fitness enthusiasts!
Sunday, 1 September – The Car Show Spectacular of the year!
This adrenaline-fuelled car show, powered by Group1 Renault (The Glen), is an event the whole family will enjoy. Come and experience the thrill of cars competing in two main events – the Show and Shine competition and the Sound Off competition. The Show and Shine competition is for classic and modern cars and will be judged by reputable classic car enthusiasts. Entry is R100 for pre-registration and R150 on the day. The Sound Off competition will have your heart racing and your blood pumping! Pre-registration is R200 or enter on the day at R250 per car.
Sunday, 13 October – The Zumbathon charity event for CANSA
It’s time to dust and don your most comfortable sweatpants – for a very good cause! The aim of this exciting event is to set a record for most people attending a Zumbathon in South Africa. Sweat it out for a whole two hours of gruelling fun. And, when it’s all said and done, enjoy a delicious, guiltless meal washed down with an exotic and tasty beverage. You will be spoilt for choice!
With ample, secure parking access is safe and easy. Gold Reef City charges R10 to enter the Casino parking while entrance to the Jozi Urban Market and Kid’s Zone is free.
