Well-known local restaurateur David Higgs and his dynamic team from Saint Restaurant will be serving up some heavenly meals for a saintly cause this August with a fundraiser event in aid of “Cupcakes of HOPE”.

The fundraiser, which will be held on Monday 5 August 2019, costs R350 per ticket for “Pizza & Prosecco” and all proceeds will be donated to children with life-threatening diseases.

“We’re excited to partner with Saint in this initiative – it’s going to be a fabulous afternoon,” says Sandy Cipriano, founder of Cupcakes of HOPE. “We hope that it encourages more South African corporates and schools to get involved – we want to spread the Cupcake Love to all corners of South Africa.”

Founded in 2009, the Non-Profit Company (NPC) and Public Benefits Organisation (PBO) creates awareness and raises funds for children with life-threatening diseases, it does this through the love of baking cupcakes. The funds raised enable the NPC to assist patients on a monthly basis by paying for their medical expenses and other day-to-day needs like nutritional food and transport money for hospital check-ups.

As the go-to pizza and Champagne destination for Sandton’s trendy, up-and-coming business crowd, Saint’s concept of “Pazzo Italiano” – loosely, crazy fun Italian – lends itself to a stylish fund-raiser.

All guests will be treated to a tapa starter, infamous Saint napolitana-style pizza for main, and cupcakes for dessert. Prosecco will also be available throughout the day. There will be a raffle for incredible sponsored prizes, and guests can also make a donation to the charity on the day.

Bookings are essential, and space is limited. To reserve your seat, contact Saint: info@saint.restaurant or 010 594 5888.

Cupcakes for HOPE is a registered NPC and PBO. Section 18a Certificates are available for any donations received.
