One of my fave Parktown North restaurants, La Boqueria is all about great Hispanic food. Plus their decor is super funky, from wall art to loads of light wood and glass, plants and running water not only are they fresh and funky, but the pictures I snap there are always great for the ‘gram!

They have just launched their new lunch menu and its a winner. Serving every weekday from 12h00 – 16h00 not only is the food light and mostly healthy (allowing you to go back to work afterwards) but also super affordable and their home made coolers do the trick on a hot summers day.

Whether you are looking for a break and change of scenery from the office, or have a business meeting planned, this is the ideal spot.

The team draw their inspiration from their favourite street markets around the world like ceviche from Peru, tacos from Mexico, tapas from Spain, traditional meats on coals on our asado, kabobs coal-baked in our Bertha or feasts like wholefish and paella cooked in our wood-fired oven

New lunch items include tacos, bowls of real goodness, Catalan flatbreads and Hispanic sandwiches with fresh house-made coolers and juices. There are also plenty of vegetarian & vegan options.

We enjoyed a variety of goodies – The Sunshine Bowl salad was incredible, loads of fresh goodies and three yummy Salmon and Sweet Potato fish cakes, as well as the Chipotle pulled chicken quesadilla which was also delicious and I would certainly go back for these items alone.

The Chimichurri Cauliflower served in a Charcoal Taco was tasty and different too. I enjoyed the Hibiscus and Lemon cooler which is made with sparkling water and serves as a healthy cooldrink option.

PLUS! Win a lunch for two people every weekday in March. Join lunch at La Boqueria, Monday to Friday to stand a chance to win – it’s well worth it.
