Hot on the heels of Malfy Con Arancia, the latest offering from the Torino Distillati (and imported by Truman & Orange) is Malfy Gin Rosa.

As the name suggests, the gin is a delightful pink colour and, typical of the exceptional, Italian quality we’ve come to expect from Malfy, no detail has been spared. Presented in a frosted bottle decorated with traditional Italian glass painting techniques, Rosa is created using Pompelmo Rosa (pink grapefruit) with Rabarbaro (rhubarb), which is grown widely and used in many classic Italian drinks such as Aperol.

Juniper, grapefruit skins and rhubarb are infused in Italian grain spirit for 36 hours which results in Malfy Gin Rosa’s beautiful blush pink colour.

Malfy Gin Rosa is perfect for a wide variety of Summer cocktails… Always garnished with a slice of grapefruit and sipped among friends! Saluti!

I have one bottle of Malfy Gin Rosa valued at R 410 to giveaway to one lucky reader. Comment below and let me know what drink you are planning on creating should you be the winner of this yummy bottle of gin!

Competition closes 12th March 2019 and the winner will be contacted via email.

Beautiful and refreshing gin and tonic, made with one of my favourite gin combos – grapefruit and rosemary. It is SO good 🙂

Tsakani February 24, 2019 at 6:42 pm

Definately a double tot served with a splash of my new fav ginger and lemongrass syrup over crushed ice…garnished with a sprig of lemongrass, poolside with my girls in celebration of my birthday which will have been on 11March 😉

Luronne Cachia February 24, 2019 at 7:12 pm

An ice cold Malfy gin cocktail at the pool, now that’s what summer is all about. I would love to top up my gin with some cucumber and pomegranate so as to savour the divine taste. Finishing it off with some Fitch and Leedes bitter lemon. The refreshing bitter lemon is perfect for the hot South African afternoons and you can still enjoy the delicious Malfy flavour!!!

Cecilia February 24, 2019 at 8:39 pm

I would create a birthday drink, considering its birthday month and I am all about gin this March ???

I would pair the Malfy Gin with freshly squeezed grapefruit (including cells) on the rocks. With half a teaspoon of melted brown sugar and lime on the rim of the glass. And a splash of Barker and Quin hibiscus tonic (only a splash). ????

I’d call it, #MalfyByCee

Pulane February 24, 2019 at 10:06 pm

Definitely grabbing grapefruit and rosemary with lots of ice. And to complement my drink, I’d make a cupcake infused with Malfy Gin.

Kelley Petersen February 24, 2019 at 10:46 pm

Yay! Finally a way to enjoy more pink drinks!

I’d like:
– Gin Rosa
– Bubbly
– Slice of Grapefruit
in a tall flute!

Megan Hartwig February 25, 2019 at 8:17 am

Definitely gin & tonic, where I will use the above gin with fresh cucumber and pair with an elderflower flavoured tonic then garnish with long ribbons of cucumber and a sprig of mint…yummy!!!

Ayanda February 25, 2019 at 2:08 pm

I would definitely create a delicious gin and tonic with a generous dash of elderflower and lime. Pure bliss

Nishen Soobramoney February 25, 2019 at 2:29 pm

I love the Malfy gin, it’s truly unprecedented to other gins my favorite is the orange, it both tasty and fragrant. I usually like a dry gin and tonic with muddled mint. With this rose gin I’d add some pomegranate jewels for extra bursts of flavour and some muddled mint & tonic… A crisp Gin & tonic is always my go to, to beat the summer heat… #WIN #FingersCrossed

Darryn van der Walt February 25, 2019 at 2:46 pm

A classic G&T – not a fan of too many garnishes. As long as the tonic is quality (it’s like 80% of the drink afterall!), then it’s all good!

Nkgapele February 25, 2019 at 2:58 pm

Wow! I love it so much.

Vincent Masango February 25, 2019 at 3:55 pm

I would have to get a little creative here but most certainly a strawberry infused drink with the pink tonic water and mint to top it off. Who said gents aren’t good with these things haha.

Nomusa Zungu February 25, 2019 at 4:02 pm

I have this massive cocktail glass waiting for me to fill it up my ultimate rosemary, and grapefruit infusions.since its summer we are still in summer but heading towards autum this drink would keep me cool still.

Sarel van Vuuren February 25, 2019 at 5:44 pm

I like to keep things plain and simple…. Mix with Sprite Lemon and Cucumber colddrink with a slice or two of cucumber. Hmmm….. Yum yum….

Jason McCall February 25, 2019 at 6:33 pm

Great giveaway.
It’s got a mad flavour (grapefruit ) already so I would just add a plain Tonic and a dash of soda – with a cut of cinnamon to compliment the grapefruit.
4 blocks ice.
Giant Gin glass.
Served next to a sunset.

Wenchy February 25, 2019 at 8:04 pm

I’ll be giving it to my Mammie Yvonne and she likes to keep it simple. Gin, Tonic, Ice. 🙂

Don’t make my Mom said Ms H.

I would create ice cream Gin

Keikantse Mooki February 25, 2019 at 10:35 pm

I’d enjoy it with the sister bae, keep it simple really.
Some tonic, a little bit of lemonade, add “accessories” (strawberries, slice of lemon, some mint)
It’s been a while since we shared a little bit of happiness ?????

Nonceba Lushaba February 26, 2019 at 2:08 am

I would keep it Italian and I would keep it summer with a Malfy Spritz. So, fill a generous wine glass with ice, add Malfy Gin Rosa, follow with prosecco, top with a splash of soda water, give it a gentle stir and garnish with a slice of orange and basil.

Kaylin Horn February 26, 2019 at 3:39 am

Sangria Rosa way of drinking it

Ingredients

Orange, grapefruit and lemon slices(a bit of lemon juice as well) a bit syrup as well as dry white wine just half though.. then the best part half cup Malfy Gin(Rosa)
Pink soda for the finish touch

How to make

So just combine the fruit syrup, gin and white wine in the glass you would love to have your gin preferably in a jug then you would pour in a glass over ice later after allowing it to rest in the fridge for about an hour …Once the hour has come add plenty of ice pour your mixture in and pink soda in your gin glass and give it a good stir.

Jan van Bavel March 6, 2019 at 1:23 pm

Pink drinks! Me and my partner has started playing around with berries and other ingredience to give your gin a nice colour and flavour. Black berries work well, little pepper and tonic water

Add some berries to it
