Local funny man, Radio Raps is no stranger to comedy and keeping local South African audiences entertained and he is in high demand it seems as he has booked a show to entertain all his “Jonathan vanaf die Oos-Rand” fans in good spirits.

Radio Raps will be appearing at Sun Arena with his latest one-man show, Genuine on 23rd February.  What to expect? Of course, his characteristic, no-holds-barred,tell-it-like-it-is style, and he will be getting to the core of humankind’s vulnerabilities and idiosyncrasies, and what makes mankind a unique species.

“Genuine boys, we should really consider not taking ourselves so seriously,” he says. Known for phrases such as “Lekker boys”, “Da vat hy”, “Okeey” en “Olraait”, Jonathan van die Oos Rand emerged on the local entertainment scene when online radio station, Radio Raps posted some of his original material on Youtube. The clips received more than three million views within eight months.

Jonathan’s CD titled Da vat hy Vol 1, which is a collaboration of all his most popular jokes and stories, as well as new material, was released in August 2014. In 2015, a DVD of his utterly successful Life 101 show was released and has already reached gold status. A second live performance, Life 201, was also recorded and released on DVD this year. Nowadays, he packs out venues across the country.

Catch him at the Sun Arena at 20h00 on 23 February 2019. Tickets are available at Computicket for R150 per person – right here…
