In October 2018, Clover Krush announced that the #KrushGoodness project had returned and the brand put out a call for South Africans to nominate schools whose children are most in need of school shoes. South Africans heeded the call and nominations were received in abundance. The 20 schools that received the most nominations, which will be visited when the 2019 school year kicks off, are:

  1. Buladitshaba Primary School, Gauteng
  2. Thembalihle Primary School, Gauteng
  3. Kgotlelelang Primary School, Gauteng
  4. James Nkosi Primary School, Gauteng
  5. Boiketlo Primary School, Limpopo
  6. Mponegelo Primary School, Limpopo
  7. Moriting Primary, Limpopo
  8. Sandzile Primary School, Mpumalanga
  9. Mgwenyane Primary School, Mpumalanga
  10. Takheleni Primary School, Mpumalanga
  11. Livangeli Primary School, KwaZulu Natal
  12. Sikhona Primary School, KwaZulu Natal
  13. Iziko Primary School, KwaZulu Natal
  14. Zithuthukise Primary School, KwaZulu Natal

  16. Phakama Primary School, Eastern Cape
  17. Enkwenkwezini Primary School, Eastern Cape
  18. Intshayelelo Primary School, Western Cape
  19. Mokone Primary School, Western Cape
  20. Siyabulel Primary School, Western Cape

All learners within these schools will receive a brand new pair of school shoes, and by the time all 20 schools have been visited by the #KrushGoodness Krew 20 000 pairs of school shoes will have been distributed.

When the project first kicked off in 2018, the purpose was to show that adding a little bit of goodness every day has the power to change the world for the better. If we start our day with one good deed, it has the power to transform someone’s day, leading to them adding a bit of goodness to someone else’s day, and so the goodness spreads, ultimately inspiring a world of goodness.

It’s incredible just how fast goodness can spread, even when it begins with one small action from just one person. This is evident from the number of school nominations received for 2019; and the number of school shoes distributed in 2018 being 10 000, doubling to 20 000 in 2019.

Some familiar faces who will be joining Krush in spreading goodness at the various schools in 2019 are:
Connie Ferguson
Zenande Mfenyane
Rami Chuene
Lalla Hirayama
Letshego Zulu
Dineo Ranaka

Keep an eye out in January 2019 where a few more familiar faces will be added to the #KrushGoodness Krew…
