Go go go! A few months ago I interviewed an excited Johannes Radebe and Oti Mabuse, as they prepared to head off to the UK to start rehearsals ahead of the kick off show in September, of Strictly Come Dancing UK which airs on BBC Brit every Sunday at 18h00.
It is now four weeks in to the competition and Pretoria born professional dancer Oti Mabuse – who has been partnered with UK cricketer Graeme Swann – is one step closer to competing in the UK finale, which will be taking place on Sunday 30 December.
Running between dance practices and filming sessions, Oti says, “I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved so far in the competition. Graeme is improving each week and has showed so much heart. I cannot wait to see how far we can push our routines. Who knows, maybe I’ll be the first South African to win the Strictly Come Dancing UK Glitterball trophy!”
So proud of you Oti – keep going and we know that you are going to come home with that trophy! BBC Brit is on DStv Channel 120.
