It is that time of year already – and as our beautiful Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, prepares to compete overseas in the international Miss Universe pageant, she also managed to spend some time getting hands on and creative with the designers at Soviet Denim to create her own style and brand of denim jeans – like Miss South Africa’s before her, since 2015.

Following in the footsteps of our current Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (who still wears her #DemiDenim jeans in the USA and on her worldwide travels), Tamaryn has personalised her denims with a stunning diamond shaped pocket plate on the back pocket of the jeans as well as a few other key elements.

This year saw the Miss South Africa pageant celebrating 60 years and ‘Diamond Jubilee’ was the theme of the crowning. Tamaryn has kept that in mind and together with the denim designers has brought the diamond element as well as the Miss South Africa branding through in to her trim details – and even on to the swing tag that is attached to the denims.

There are two pairs of denim jeans that will be launched, and the style of both are quite plain but yet classic and elegant – befitting the Miss South Africa organisation.

Gina – is a bright indigo skinny jean, featuring the rip and repair detail that has proven popular over the last few years. The waistband is beautifully designed in silver and it features silver trims on the denims as well.

The Rolene – this jegging denim is a fashion statement in bright periwinkle blue and features the signature pocket plate mentioned above and also incorporates the rose gold waistband – as well as a matching button.

“This year we celebrate four years of the #MissSASoviet Denim. The synergy between these two brands made so much in 2014 – Four years down the line, we are still ever so happy with our partnership with the Miss South Africa brand. The collaboration allows us to offer our customers a limited keepsake in the Miss South Africa Denim, which we feel sets our brand apart from the other denim brands. Tamaryn, exudes everything we stand for at Soviet, REAL PEOPLE, REAL DENIM. We’re looking forward to what our consumers have to say about our 2018 Miss South Africa Denim offering” says Caroline Hardman – Managing Director Soviet Denim.

Fashion forward denim wearers will look forward to breaking style boundaries with the Gina denim in its more casual form, pairing it perfectly with sneakers and a basic tee, or even adding heels and a blouse to take it in to the evening.

The more classic Rolene is ready to come in to play with blazers and silver accessories for the perfect fashion statement in the colour of the season, periwinkle, which matches perfectly with hues of lavender, burnt mustard, white and pale pink or nude.

The two denims will launch to the public on 3rd November 2018 at The Mall of Africa store – where Tamaryn will be available to meet and greet with her fans – and following on from that the two pairs of denims will then be available as a limited stock item at Soviet stores nationwide, visit http://www.sovietdenim.com/stores/ for a store near you.
