This highly anticipated event is back in Joburg on Saturday 29th September and the exceptional gastronomic experience is to be accompanied by a host of outstanding sponsors.
Launched in Paris in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon. What was a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event has grown into an international sensation celebrated on six continents.
Michelin trained Chef Wandile Mabaso is highly regarded as one of the most innovative chefs in South Africa and will no doubt take this fine dining at this event to new heights. He comments:”Diner En Blanc gives a wide scale access to French food cooked at the highest level, rather than the elite few that can afford it.”
The wine partner this year is award winning Stellenbosch producer, The Idiom Collection, a Sommeliers Selection favourite, with wines such as the iconic Idiom Cape Blend and The Idiom SMV being the stars. The preferred sparkling mineral waters around the world, S Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, will also join the party.
The Gautrain will provide transportation from Midrand, Sandton, Rosebank and park Station and will supply the last leg to the secret venue by bus.
The event starts at 19h00 on 29th September and costs R 750 per person.
