Yes, it is almost time and I am super excited to see this show – you have no idea! The much talked about troupe from Dein Perry’s Tap Dogs are about to tap their way into South African hearts with their globally acclaimed Australian production. The reviews are spectacular and I have a double set of tickets valued at R800 to give away to join me at the opening night on 29th August!
Dein Perry’s global phenomenon first took the world by storm upon its premiere at the Sydney Festival Theatre and has been touring continuously since then. They have performed in over 300 cities worldwide for over 20 years now and finally South Africa will be able to experience what has been illustrated on a recreated constriction site with elements of dance and a rock concert atmosphere.
To stand a chance to win a set of tickets – make sure to let me know in the comments box, who you plan on bringing with you to this musical spectacular and why.
Competition closes 22nd August and the winner will be contacted via email. Tickets are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

I would love to take my daughter to see Tap Dogs. The last time they were there we sat more or less in the middle and were a bit amused by the people sitting in the front with the rain poncho’s on 🙂 Unknown to us there was a stellar water performance to happen. I cannot tell you which part of the show was good. I would have to say that their show is “out of this world” from start to finish. Absolutely loved it and I am sure it will be even better this time round.
I will take my best friend Jade Jansen
I would take my hubby because we love our little dance offs at home and there’s almost always a special “tap dance” feature involved. Ps. neither of us our dancers ?
I’d bring my wonderful wife. We have living room dance off’s. We are not particularly good but we like it.

I love Tap Dog’s high energy dance accompanied by theatrical performance and would love to take my mum to see this fabulous show.
My daughter has literally been talking about the show since the last show 4 years ago. She is a tap dancer (from age 6 now 14) but moreover is absolutely obsessed with all things tap. Would absolutely love to win tickets for her.

I watched Bootmen (the movie based on Tap Dogs and also directed by Dein Perry) many years ago and I did tap dancing as a kid. I also saw Tap Dogs when it first came to South Africa at The Playhouse in Durban and was in awe, still am! I wish we could have had tap lessons like that, growing up! I would love to be able to take my daughter to watch it, as she has seen the movie as well and I still have my program from watching the stage show all those years ago!
I would love to surprise my hubby and win tickets for him. He has been wanting to go to this show since he heard that it was dancing it’s way to SA. We both have left feet when it comes to any form of dance but we don’t mind standing on the spot and swaying our bodies ..might I add we have no rhthym but we still have loads of fun.

Last time I saw them was in PE 15years ago. Show was excellent. So would Love to Experience this again with my Bestie here in JHB. Life gets so busy & passes by so quickly. Would Love to have a Girly Night & Some Great Fun ?
I’m looking for a fun night out with my lady without the tiring sensationalist #WomensMonth slogans, just pure a night rhythmic fun. The TV adverts announcing this play over the years have been simply out-of-this-world like a classic Michael Jackson so as a theatre-lover I’ve been anticipating this ‘play’ on steroids.
I’m looking for a fun night out with my lady without the tiring well meaning but sensationalist #WomensMonth slogans & grand gestures for spectator value, just treat her to a night of pure rhythmic fun. The TV adverts announcing this play over the years have been simply out-of-this-world like a classic Michael Jackson street dancing movie-esque music video so as a theatre-lover I’ve been anticipating finally seeing this ‘play’ on steroids and being affected by it. I’ve unfortunately not had a chance to see it in the past 20 years. Now’s definitely the time!
