Yay! I scream, you scream, we all scream for…Ben Ungermann – runner-up of MasterChef Australia 2017 it would seem! Ben is in South Africa to teach fans how to make the perfect ice-cream, and I am totally joining in!
Ben will be working with the Capsicum Culinary Studio on a series of masterclasses where participants will learn the techniques and tricks to make the perfect ice-cream.
Dubbed the King of Ice-Cream on the hit television show, has already opened his own ice-cream parlour, Ungermann Brothers, in Ipswich in Australia and flavours in Ben’s shop include a wacky and delicious roast garlic scoop; strawberry balsamic; chocolate mandarin with candied zest; matcha white chocolate; maple pecan bacon; lavender and honeycomb; cardamom and coffee as well as peanut butter. He uses no stabilisers or preservatives in the ice-cream.

The Capsicum Ben Ungermann masterclasses will take place at the Capsicum Culinary Studio in Pretoria on Monday, August 13, Tuesday, August 14 and Wednesday, August 15.
There will be demonstrations on each of these three days from 14h00 to 16h00 and from 18h00 to 20h00. The cost is R850 a person and includes an apron and a welcome drink.
