Thursday 9th of August is Women’s Day – and what better way to spoil your precious other half or your best girl friends than by treating them to a delicious High Tea in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, Western Cape.

Round up your best friends for this delicious mid-week getaway and be spoilt with tiered platters laden with delicious sweet and savoury morsels accompanied by an elegant Grande Provence Méthode Cap Classique. The High Tea includes a bubbly and cupcake tasting and a Woman’s Day gift.

Putting his modern South African spin on savoury sandwiches and sliders, Executive Chef Guy Bennett has created some exciting flavour combinations. Think roasted red pepper, chevin mousse and aubergine & harissa; pulled slow-cooked beef short rib; smoked Franschhoek trout with dill pickles and lemon labneh; and aged Huguenot cheddar with basil & semi-dried tomato pesto.

Nourishing greens include a luxurious garden root vegetable slaw with toasted almonds and fynbos vinaigrette; and a baby cos and smoked chicken salad spruced up with Chef Guy’s special buttermilk dressing.

The assortment of indulgent sweet treats includes salted caramel éclairs, cranberry & walnut nougat; Valrhona chocolate brownies; and carrot & ginger cupcakes.

Cost: R350 per person and includes a complimentary glass of bubbly and your choice of tea or coffee.

Pre-paid booking is essential to confirm your reservation.
