In case you didn’t know, I am trying to get myself back in to shape (and although round is technically a shape – it’s not my favourite one). I started working out once a week at Bodytec in Bryanston about 9 months ago, and am enjoying seeing the changes slowly start to take place in my body shape.

Basically, it works as such. You get strapped in to your little suit, the electrodes get connected to key areas, arms, thighs, butt, back and tummy, which gets connected to the Bodytec machine. Using a series of electronic pulses, you complete the 20 minute workout in a 4 second pulse and 4 second rest period cycle. During the pulse period, you execute a specific move, for example a squat, or a crunch – the pulses intensify the workout. It may sound easy – I promise you it’s not. By 7 minutes, you are sweating and out of breath. This is literally one of the most intense workouts I have ever done in my life – and if, like me, there is no time in your life to gym daily, then this is certainly a huge plus!

On to the breakfast part – Junipa’s, also located in Hobart Grove in Bryanston, churn out the best freshly baked yummies ever. Seeing as we will have just worked out we will try and keep it healthy with one of their yummy brekkies and freshly ground coffee, and if you would like to interview me, pick my brain, take a selfie, or whatever floats your boat, this is your chance.

To stand a chance to win a workout at Bodytec Bryanston with me, worth R 195 and a yummy brekkie, also with me at Junipa’s Cafe right next door – make sure to enter below and tell me why this prize was designed just for you! Let’s #witnessthefitness – shall we?

Competition closes 20th June and the winner will be contacted via email.

They say that summer bodies are built in winter. Being 25 years of age, I have struggled with being a “little tubby” all my life. It takes hard work to have a great body. Unfortunately I was not blessed with my mom’s skinny “genes” which makes it all the worse. I suppose it is what it is and I think this great prize would go a very long way in helping me get my summer body on.

I have signed up for the adventure boot camp 40 day challenge, however on day 16 I suffered from a lung infection and had to leave the challenge. If I get this opportunity with body tech I will make up for lost time and will be at the goal weight

Not being much of a exercise person, I would love to see if “being pulsed” to get in shape might be my idea of a great exercise workout. Oh, and the brekkie would be a great treat too 🙂

I am in the process of redesigning my body as well. I have been eager to experience the body tech evolution since advertised on the home channel and believe that this opportunity is destiny.

Working 14 hour days on most days means that I have had to miss the gym. I no longer have a nanny so this requires that I am awake at 5 am every morning to prepare lunches for the kids, get them ready for school and make sure we’re out the house by 7:00 am to make it in time for school. Traffic in the evenings means that I get home around 6:15 and still need to prepare supper, do homework and put kids to bed by 8 pm which leaves no time for me to go to the gym. Winning this competition would help me jumpstart exercising again and also to try and at least get rid of the flab around my tummy which has left me depressed as I’m struggling to to get rid of it. #witnessthefitness

This prize is designed just for me because not only did I sign up for gym membership last week but boy oh boy do I know that the road to transformation will not be easy.
I also know that I will feel a little overwhelmed and knocked down from time to time but that at the end of the day, it’s the best work I’ll ever do because this girl is not about excuses and won’t let anything get in the way of smashing those fitness goals! After all, I am here to #witnessthefitness

Well I have been “the fat girl” my whole life and we yoyo and try new things all the time, but nothing that’s actually ever stuck, I gym 3 days a week but can’t walk up a flight of stairs without sounding like a 1912 steam engine! 1 flight ??? I need to actually get something that works cos currently it’s not! #witnessthefitness

I would love to try a bodytec workout. I am currently doing the 40 day challenge with adventure boot camp and I’m loving it. I like workouts that are fun and challenging at times. I’m not a fitness junkie and by no means the fittest person around but I like to try different types of workouts and Bodytec definitely sounds like something I would love to try. I’m not a gym kind of person. Please pick me.

Congrats Shelley! I have sent you an email. HH

I have now done a few sessions and even though I was skeptical initially, I am pretty impressed with the workout received in only 20 minutes! It is now time to make a decision as to whether I am going to commit for the long term, so would love to discuss this with someone that has been training for such a long period!
