I recently attended the official South African launch of two of Dermalogica’s brand new products hitting our shelves on Monday 26th February – and I am really excited about the brand new Ultra Calming product duo, which is perfect for dry and sensitive skins – like mine!
Dermalogica launched into the marketplace in 1986 with totally innovative formulations, which excluded common irritants, including SD alcohol, lanolin, mineral oil and artificial colors and fragrances and have continued to innovate, thanks to founder Jane Wurwand’s vision to change the skin care industry.
Sensitive skin means something different to everyone. Some interpret it as mild, occasional flareups, while others have redness and discomfort so intense they never want to leave the house.
Sensitivity affects every skin type, from dry to oily – and causes vary from genetics to triggers like stress, diet, cosmetic ingredients, allergies and pollution. With so many variables, what causes your sensitive skin can be tough to pinpoint – and even tougher to avoid.
Dermalogica’s NEW UltraCalming™ Duo takes the guesswork out of the equation by treating the irritation and dehydration caused by sensitive skin. These products can be layered for maximum results, or used separately to address a specific concern.
Barrier Defense Booster: This concentrated oil booster soothes and nourishes to restore balance to sensitive skin.
Calm Water Gel: This weightless water-gel moisturizer hydrates dry, sensitive skin. The unique formula transforms into a skin-quenching fluid upon application, forming a weightless barrier to help protect skin against environmental assault.
Dual Hyaluronic Acid technology works in different skin surface layers to increase and lock in moisture and the UltraCalming Duo will be available at Dermalogica-authorized spas, salons and skin centers on 26th February 2018.
UltraCalming Barrier Defense Booster come sin 60 ml bottles and retails for R 1 220 while the Calm Water Gel is available in a 177 ml tube and retails for R 890.
Dermalogica will also be debuting a new, personalized tool to help assess your skin sensitivity risk: the
online Sensitivity Score tool. Visit skinsensitivityrisk.com and enter your location for personalized insights about what might cause your skin sensitization, along with expert tips and product recommendations to keep your top concerns at bay.
