If you are looking for the place to party up a storm this New Year’s eve – then look no further! DJ Cocoa Chanelle, considered radio royalty in the United States, will be on the decks at Time Square South Africa’s New Year’s Eve Block Party to ring in 2018.

Fashioned along the lines of the world’s biggest New Year’s parties, Time Square South Africa’s New Year’s Eve Block Party will be an audiovisual spectacular of epic proportions in the newly launched Sun Arena. The raging party kicks off at 16h00 on 31 December 2017 and will take revelers well past dawn on the first day of 2018.

The Hot 97 and Kiss FM DJ is one of three international mix masters on the bill for the party which also includes 10 top South African DJs. Amongst them are Black Coffee, Euphonik, Kent, Vin Deysel, Dino Bravo, Ready D, Jazzy D, Black Motion and Ralf Gum.

DJ Cocoa Chanelle’s set promises to be one of the many exuberant highlights of the event. She is has been listed in Vibe Magazine as one of the TOP 17 DJs in the United States and has performed at Madison Square Garden in front of 20 000 people as the DJ for the New York Knicks half time show. She was also honored at the industry’s biggest event for Radio Mixshow DJs Mixshow Power Summit where she received the award for Best Female Mixshow DJ of the Year.

New Year revellers are promised the ultimate experience at the Sun Arena at Time Square. The venue boasts an international award winning digital audio system for spectacular sound and acoustics, as well as a high definition, audiovisual system complete with large format LED screens.

The design and layout of seating on two tiers deliver unobstructed views from all positions. Access to the Sun Arena is via 16 entrances; 8 on the lower level and 8 on the upper tier. There are four sets of public restrooms on each tier, with each offering dedicated paraplegic facilities.

The Sun Arena, launched on 4 November 2017, is the first venue of its kind in Tshwane and also the largest purpose built indoor seated arena in South Africa, with an area of over 6300m2 of combined seating and mixed use performance space on two levels.
