Do a Date Night at Crowne Plaza, Rosebank

Having just joined the fold of Tsogo Sun Properties, The Crowne Plaza Rosebank has always held an appeal for me – I think possibly it’s the sunken lounge – or maybe even the Circle Bar? (Get there early to grab yourself a booth that lights up different colours – but honestly the best part is being able to control the booth light switch and change to whatever colour you like – always purple for me!)

The decor is contemporary and stylish, and it’s location in the heart of Rosebank hotel makes it the perfect stayover for business or leisure guests.

Close to The Rosebank Gautrain station, a 30-minute drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport and just a short drive from the Johannesburg and Sandton Business Districts – whatever way you get there…just get there.

I recently got to have the most fun “Date Night” at the hotel with a friend. This awesome package is running until the 31st of December this year, and is the perfect way to treat that special someone without having to book flights or travel to far at all.

So what do you get? Your accommodation in one of the beautifully appointed double rooms, complete with rose petals on turn down, as well as a bottle of wine in the room on your arrival, what more do you need?

A delicious 3 course set menu to select from in the acclaimed CUT restaurant, by Chef Nico Brandt, and a delicious breakfast in the onsite Fresh restaurant.

For only R 1995 per room per night – you can’t go wrong. The only extra is your drinks and any room service or laundry etc.

We had a pool facing room, and after staring at the pool for a while, we chose to head down and check it out. Comfy sun loungers, fresh towels and a beautiful rooftop view would make this THE spot in summer.

Amani Spa is located right next to the pool, so we wandered in to check out the menu. Unfortunately our schedule was so jam packed that we were not able to get an appointment, but will certainly return for this!

Our dinner at CUT was fabulous – my black mushroom starter was delicious, as was my chicken curry. If you love meat in all it’s glory, then CUT is for you!

A night cap at Circle Bar rounded off our perfect evening, and we slept like logs in the super comfy beds.
