I love my salmon, be it in the form of sushi, on a canape, or even just a salad. When I discovered this delicious recipe courtesy of the team at Flora – I had to borrow it – and it’s really easy and quick to make, which I love, because I am always running late!
I am going to be trying a few of Flora’s recipes, because they look really yummy, and don’t take much time at all, and also because I am trying to get myself back in shape, and working around my crazy schedule and mad work hours! Give this one a whirl…
Avo and smoked salmon on Rye
Ingredients:
Rye bread
Flora Light to spread
½ avocado
Sweet chilli Sauce
Squeeze lime or lemon juice
Few slices smoked salmon
Lime wedges
Fresh basil leaves
Preparation:
1. Spread the rye bread with Flora Light
2. Mash the avocado with a sweet Chilli sauce and a squeeze of lime or lemon juice. Spoon onto the bread and top with the sliced smoked salmon, lime wedges and basil leaves. Voila!
Variations: Slices of roast chicken or turkey also work well.
Simple Swap Out: If you are watching your weight then use this spread and topping on rice cakes.
