It’s that time of year folks. Fluffy socks, blankets, hot chocolate and…yummy, warm, home made food! Thank goodness for Cafe del Sol – who totally have you sorted.

I am a sucker for a yummy, home made soup, and the Executive Chef at the group, Jonathan Duiker, felt that it would be appropriate to for him to add his own influence to the already established menu by way of these seasonal menu additions.

The Café del Sol Seasonal Menu for Autumn and Winter has a slightly lighter touch but does not shy away from delivering on the expected whacks to the senses.

Check these out…

Hit me with this Rustic roasted red pepper and tomato soup! Garnished with fresh herb oil, deep-fried Basil and torn Buffalo Mozzarella, with some fresh home made bread on the side. Yum. Also I am a sucker for Le Crueset serving dishes – now you know the way to my heart 😉

Main course should always be hearty and tasty – but still healthy, right? Bring on this Lamb Rump Nicoise style – served with Baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, fine beans, anchovies crisp capers, olive tapenade and lamb jus. Nommy.

I am a bit of a sucker for a baked pudding I won’t lie, and this Caramelised Date Pudding with ginger toffee and crème anglaise speaks to my very happy 10 year old self. Comfort food at it’s best.
