Oooohhhweee I am so excited for the Miss SA finale! The girls are all so lovely and have worked so very hard to get this far – but, there can only be one…which of the final 12 will make it – and take home the crown, not to mention the R1 mil prize?!!
Tickets are now officially on sale for what will certainly be an extravaganza of a pageant! The Miss South Africa 2017 finale will take place at the Sun City Superbowl on Sunday, March 26, at 17h00.
The event will be televised live and simulcast on M-Net and Mzansi Magic, sees the top 12 of the country’s most beautiful women compete to take the crown and follow in the footsteps of our current (and very cool might I add) Miss South Africa 2016 Ntando Kunene.
The show will feature exciting local musical talent and will be hosted by Proverb and tickets range between R225 and R250 and can be bought at Ticketpro
The 12 women who are in competition to be named Miss South Africa 2017 are Adè van Heerden – Herold’s Bay, Western Cape; Boipelo Mabe – Alexandra, Gauteng; Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters – Sedgefield, Western Cape; Iman Mkwanazi – Lenasia, Gauteng; Kayla Malherbe – Mtunzini, Kwa Zulu Natal; Nicole van Niekerk – Môregloed, Pretoria, Gauteng; Nompumelelo Mampholo – Diepkloof, Soweto, Gauteng; Odirile Sepeng – Mabopane, Pretoria, Gauteng; Priyeshka Lutchman – Yellowwood Park, Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal; Shané Naidoo – Benoni, Gauteng; Shelbe Pretorius – Pinehaven, Krugersdorp, Gauteng and Yuta Raubenheimer – Kameeldrift, Pretoria, Gauteng.
Judges for the pageant include celebs Maps Maponyane, Bridget Masinga and Ezra Davids, and a more celebrity judges are due to be announced shortly.
Members of the public have been voting to have their say in who wins the prestigious title. Public SMS votes have a 25 percent weighting of the overall voting towards the winner, with 75 percent resting with the official judges.
Anyone can enter the competition by sending an SMS with the key number of their favourite Top 12 finalist to the short code number, 45791.
Each SMS will cost R1.50. Proceeds from the competition will benefit the Cell C Girl Child Bursary Fund.
