Not being the owner of ethnic hair, I have never really looked at weaves or extensions with much attention. Imagine my surprise when Candi & Co released their hair trend report for 2017, and it was absolutely gorgeous! I may have hair envy, to be honest.
I was lucky enough to join a very select group of media and celebs at Candi & Co’s 2017 trend report event, hosted by spokesperson Boity at the gorgeous Yadah Castle in Centurion.
Candi & Co is South Africa’s very first franchised ethnic (and non ethnic too, might I add) hair salon that brings you world class hair-care services and products that are affordable and authentically stunning.
2017 sees length as it’s key focus, with an interesting use of fabrics woven in to up do’s and hair jewellery, as well as box braids (thicker braids, which can be interspersed with colour braids and hair jewellery) Chatting with Candice, the owner of the franchise, she believes that hair is a form of art, and allowing women to express themselves and their unique personalities through their hair styles, is a main component of what Candi & Co believe in.
Although they do specialise in ethnic hair, they have clients of all races, with all different hair care needs – and they excel at what they do. Their trained experts will advise you on the latest hair trends, and styles – but with thought and care. Every hair type is different, and has different needs and requirements.
Candi & Co bring you braids, curls, twists, knots, weaves, relaxers, boosters, shampoos and conditioners, consultation and education for all hair types. Oh, and they also do your nails and are kiddie friendly too.
They have branches in Randburg, Sunninghill, Northgate, Midrand and Pretoria.
