One of my fave drinking spots – The Beerhouse – is now open in Centurion. More of the tasty beer joy!
The Beerhouse chain of restaurants has opened its third venue in Centurion, Pretoria, following the runaway success of its branches in Long Street, Cape Town and Fourways, Johannesburg.
The restaurant launches at a well-known and beloved local premises, previously occupied for 21 years by the legendary Firkin Pub. After giving the old pub an exciting Beerhouse makeover, doored open to the public on Friday, 25 November 2016, offering 30 taps, 99 bottles of beer and hand crafted food.
The new Centurion site forms part of the company’s ambitious expansion plans to be South Africa’s go-to venue for beer choice, knowledge and beer-related experiences; a vision set to realise 20 Beerhouse outlets nationwide by 2020.
Beerhouse as a concept was forged in the inquiring and restless mind of entrepreneur, Randolf Jorberg, with a mission to provide an inclusive unique experience characterised by signature décor, a large, curated library of beer, and complementary food.
The Beerhouse menu is spearheaded by its 99 bottles of beer on the wall, 30 taps (local and international beers), non-beer offerings such as selected wines and spirits, as well as non-alcoholic items including ice tea and cold brew coffee on tap.
The hand-crafted food on offer is inspired by traditional beer fare from around the globe, as well as the kitchen’s driving philosophy of quality and value for money. Peckish beer drinkers will be spoilt for choice by the unique snack menu featuring pork crackling, edamame beans, oepsies (Beer glazed bacon on a stick) and bitterballen while famished patrons are invited to indulge in Beerhouse classics such as curry wurst, ribs, burgers and flammkuchen.
A strong food and beer pairing seam runs throughout, with menu’s featuring beer pairing icons, as well as dedicated food and beer matching sections. Look out for our popular daily lunch specials for R50 which includes a beer, soft drink or cider.
“Beerhouse is a celebration of the finest local and international beer and complementary food. We are committed to being a valuable platform for local micro-breweries, expanding their market and providing an opportunity for excellent product to shine.” Randolf Jorberg.
