Just down the road from me, although slightly hard to find and tucked away round a corner of the Pineslopes shopping centre, lies The Smokehouse and Grill.
I joined a group of fellow food lovers for an evening out, and was really impressed with not only the food, but the service as well.
I arrived slightly late, but was still in time to partake in the starter platters of stuffed Jalapeno’s (hellava hot – brace yourself) chicken wings and table salads, as well as nacho’s. I felt the cheese sauce on the nacho’s lacked some vooma, but the rest of the starters were great.
Known for their delicious menu, I really battled with making a decision, but my blue cheese and avo burger was perfection! Other dinners really enjoyed their meals, ranging from massive cuts of fillet, ribs, calamari and a baby chicken that I am convinced was not a baby chicken at all given it’s size!
Sandwiches are also available for the slightly less hungry. We got a platter of desserts to share, thank goodness as I don’t think I would have done a full dessert justice. Brownies with dripping chocolate sauce, peanut butter ice-cream (totally heavenly) and malva pudding – all the yummy goodness!
Do make sure to put this restaurant on your list of places to visit.
