During a private fashion show of House of Kongo at The Saxon Hotel Maria Foster officially launched her next project: Maboneng Fashion Week™

Maboneng Fashion Week™ was established by Maria Foster as a platform for designers to showcase street fashion through creativity and a passion for Maboneng, a city we believe will be elevated by benefiting from new themes as well as extended media coverage.

Maboneng Fashion Week™ will serve as an opportunity to increase economic development in the area of fashion design and to enhance the visibility of Maboneng as a centre of international fashion. The first Maboneng Fashion Week™ show is planned for October 2017.

Clothing lines designed and owned by Maria Foster are House of Kongo for ladies’ wear (www.houseofkongo.com) and Pamplmousse for kid’s wear (www.pamplmousse.com).

Clothing showcased at the private fashion show were unique and out of the box, worn by models that broke the mold in looks and sizes.
