Oh wow – Turkish Fusion of epic culinary enjoyment proportions. Joined a group of fellow foodies for an amazing night out and have to say this is certainly a gem of a place.
Tucked away amongst the bustling nightlife of Norwood, stepping inside is like stepping in to an authentic Turkish restaurant, with beautiful glass lights and a cute little courtyard with lamb being cooked on an open fire – talk about fresh meat!
I arrived a little late and missed the starter platter, but quickly caught up with the rest of the group on the Mocktails, which are the order of the day, and are super delicious – as 47 on Grant is fully halaal so no alcohol is served on the premises.
Main courses at the table were varied and received much praise – my Chicken Sheesh was delicious and came served with rice. We got a big platter of sides to add to our meals, as well as a pile of fresh flat breads to mop everything up.
Other diners enjoyed the Cag Kebab (two of them straight off the fire), the Iskender (spiced lamb wrapped in a flat bread and toasted with pepper sauce), Lamb Pirzola (yummy lamb chops) and loads more.
Sides included hummus, tatziki, tahini, baba ganoush, watermelon and feta mix and a host of yummy tomato relishes.
A variety of Turkish tea’s, coffee’s and juices are on the menu, as well as the usual soft drinks and waters.
A wholly enjoyable night out – highly recommended.
