Nestled in the rustic village of Chartwell, The Stables Village Market is hosting its new weekend event of the summer season, the “Big Fat FAMILY Festival”, on Saturday, 5 to Sunday, 6 November 2016 and every weekend thereafter from 9am onwards.

The Farm Shop and Deli are housed in newly landscaped gardens and reconstructed stables offering a distinctive outdoor, country style experience to enjoy a range of foods and refreshments in one sitting.

The vendors stock wholesome produce, locally-sourced foods and international flavours as well as giving stall owners an opportunity to showcase their handcrafted wares.

Patrons to The Deli who want to stock up their shelves can expect to find free range grain-fed beef, lamb and pork and other cured deli meats, freshly baked artisan breads and home-made pies as well as an assortment of sweet and savoury indulgences that appeal to all senses.

The Deli’s restaurant has the option of wood-fired meals such as pizzas with a selection of toppings, baked lasagne, pasta and pies with your choice of roast beef or lamb, succulent pork or tender chicken, rabbit and duck fillings. Finish off your dish to your liking with a variety of salads, dips, dressings and sauces.

If that doesn’t whet the appetite, foodies visiting the numerous stalls can indulge in a culinary spread that includes authentic craft beers and burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, sushi bar, Belgian chocolatier’s decadent confectionery as well as pancakes and ice-creams.

Since the market offers ample seating both indoors and outside, patrons can stop-off come rain or shine. On milder days, visitors can breathe in the crisp country air on one of the picnic benches, while on hotter days taking a seat outdoors and basking in the sunshine.
