You can now get the food that has made Bistro Michel famous, in the comfort of your own home, thanks to UberEats which was launched recently in Johannesburg.
Bistro Michel is owned by well-known restauranteur and Chef Michel Morand, previously of Gatrile’s and Auberge Michel. Says Morand: “We have created a specially-tailored menu which will be delivered in packaging and disposable tableware made from plants and fully compostable.
We are delighted that our customers will be able to enjoy our food without having to leave either their office or home. Those who want ‘convenient’ food do not have to comprise on quality.” (The menu is included in attached press release)
UberEats users will be required to download a separate app from the Uber taxi app and use their existing login details to place an order. Users will log on to the app and order their food which will be prepared by the restaurant before an Uber courier collects the meal from the restaurant and delivers it the user. Users will be able to track their orders through the app.
There is a minimum fixed fee of delivery fee of R20 and users have to live within a specified radius of the restaurant they are ordering from. You can download the UberEats app in the App Store or via Google Play.
